not a scratch on it. I just received my Factory Reconditioned Bostitch finish nailer. I have bought new items that didn't look as new as this one. I used the nailer this morning hanging crown molding and it worked flawlessly. Great deal.
when i first looked at this tool on line, i was a little bit hesitant about ordering it. I have used the gun on several projects and have found it to perform 100% to my liking. I thought it might look and operate like it was old looking and over used, but when I opened the box I was amazed at the perfect and new condition it was in. It also came with a nice carrying case, a box of nails and an assortment of tips that I had no idea were included in the price. I might also add that this gun is very light and comfortable to handle. I would buy this again without a question.
Arrived as advertised, even included a box of nails, which I did not expect. And the price of the nailer was lower than advertised. Nailer is in great condition, works perfectly, with a couple of scratches on the head, as expected. A very lightweight and powerful nailer. although the shipping was more. The final total worked out to be the same either way, so not an issue, I just found this odd.
Having bought new in the past, I know what they look like & now having bought a reconditioned finish nailer I can tell you that it looks & performs just like a new one. In fact if you were to put them side by side you would be very hard pushed to see any difference between the new & reconditioned nailer.
This was remedied when I aimed it downward towards the ground. I did have to use my own compressor adapter, as it did not come with one included. I did have a minor problem with 1 inch Hitachi brand 1 inch nails. When I held it up to nail into the wall, it misfired about every 5th nail. The nailer performed flawlessly with the Bostitch brand 2 1/2 inch nails. The nailer came in the mail 2 days earlier than I expected. It leaves a small hole that is easily covered with putty, barely noticeable when finished. Only some minute indications that it had ever been used. The unit was in perfect condition out of the box.
I build a lot of antique reproduction style furniture, and this tool is a must. I suggest using the brand nails for this unit. It had extra foot covers included in the box, which was nice. Not a problem because I had plenty for just such an occasion. I switched to the 1 inch Bostitch nails and didn't have this problem anymore. I have yet to have a misfire with the Bostitch nails. The 15 gauge nails are strong enough to hold, but thin enough to not split the wood. All in all a great product at a great price.Well under the price you pay for a substandard brand from the local tool store.
